About The NAS Matchmaker

Why Sell Off Market?

Selling off-market often offers advantages over traditional auctions and digital platforms. One of the key benefits is privacy—you avoid the exposure of public listings and auctions, reducing the risk of a failed sale or unwanted attention. This not only protects the seller’s privacy but also the long-term value of the vehicle.

Selling off-market also limits the inherent risk found with auctions, where outcomes can be volatile and easily swayed, both positively and negatively. Instead, you deal directly with pre-qualified buyers, resulting in a more controlled and predictable sales process.

Why Buy Off Market?

For limited-production vehicles like NAS Land Rover Defenders, buying off-market can provide access to trucks that haven’t been overexposed or maybe even never sold before. With only around 7,000 NAS Defenders produced between 1993 and 1997, these vehicles are often highly sought after. Off-market transactions keep prices private, protecting the value of your investment. In an off market deal, you can negotiate directly and secure the vehicle without the pressure of outside parties.

Everything Is For Sale At The Right Price:

We understand that for many collectors and enthusiasts, everything has a price. Whether you're a buyer looking for that one-of-a-kind NAS Defender or a seller who isn't actively listing but would consider parting with your vehicle for the right offer, this is the place to be.

For Sellers: Even if you aren't actively looking to sell, the NAS Matchmaker provides the perfect opportunity to field offers from serious buyers. You maintain control over your vehicle, and if the right offer comes along—one that aligns with your expectations—you can make the decision to sell on your own terms.

For Buyers: This platform connects you with sellers who might not otherwise list their Defenders publicly, but are open to discussions if the right price is presented. If you're seeking a specific Defender or willing to pay a premium for a unique find, this is your chance to make an attractive offer.

How It Works:

For Buyers:

  • Fill out the form on the page linked above with the specifications of your desired NAS Defender. We will store this information and reference it anytime a NAS Defender is submitted through our site.

  • If a NAS Defender matches most or all of your criteria, we will contact you with the details.

  • If a deal is made, we charge a 3% finder’s fee of the final sale price.

For Sellers:

  • Fill out the form on the page linked above with the specifications of your NAS Defender. We will store this information and reference it when a potential buyer is seeking a vehicle that matches most or all of the criteria you submitted.

  • When a buyer is interested, we will first reach out to you to confirm the price and availability. Understanding that some vehicles are sensitive, we will initially share only the information the seller has permitted in the form submitted to gauge the buyer's interest.

  • If a buyer expresses serious interest, we will collect and share more details, ideally resulting in the start of a negotiation process.

  • If a deal is made, we charge a 3% broker fee of the final sale price

Timing Expectations:

The NAS Matchmaker is a new and evolving platform, and it will take time to build a comprehensive database of buyer preferences and available vehicles. As this list grows, there may be a waiting period before the perfect match is found. While a match is not guaranteed, a close fit is likely as more vehicles and buyer profiles are submitted. Flexibility in terms of desired specifications and pricing can significantly increase the chances of a successful and timely connection.

For buyers, please note that the broader your criteria, the quicker we can connect you to a matching vehicle. Conversely, for sellers, pricing your Defender reasonably will help expedite the connection to a potential buyer. That said, we are firm proponents of the strong market value of NAS Defenders and encourage premium pricing where appropriate. If you would like assistance in determining the right price for your vehicle, we are happy to provide suggestions and guidance to help ensure a fair and competitive sale.

Disclaimer:

While we make every effort to vet each NAS Defender, seller, and buyer that engages with our service, we strongly recommend that both parties conduct their own due diligence. This includes scheduling pre-purchase inspections, verifying vehicle history, and taking any additional steps necessary to ensure a secure and smooth transaction.
